BLackberry Crostata

This might be one of the easiest and prettiest desserts. I have been making these for years. You can make it with almost any fruit and a few ingredients. I didn’t have any ice cream, but it would be beautiful with a scoop of vanilla.

I had a pint of blackberries and a store-bought pie crust. I love the ease of the store-bought pie crust, but I have definitely found the Pillsbury brand is my favorite.

Easy Blackberry Crostata

Ingredients

One pie crust- store-bought or homemade

Fruit - I used one pint of blackberries for this one

2 Tbsp sugar

1/2 a lemon juiced

2 Tbsp flour

Instructions

I mixed the berries with a couple of tablespoons of sugar, the juice of half a lemon, and a couple of tablespoons of flour.

Unroll the pie crust or roll out if using your own.

Pile the berries or fruit in the middle, an inch or two from the edges. Fold the remaining dough over onto itself. You are going for rustic, not perfect.

Sprinkle the top of the croissant with some additional sugar.

I preheated the oven to 425°F and then reduced the temperature to 375°F for the last 30 minutes. Bake about 40 minutes total. You want a nice golden color on the crust.

Serve warm with a scoop of ice cream.
